​​I had the great joy to witness La​ra Seidel’s career from the very beginning because I was the first client that ordered a guitar from her. It was in 1992 when I learnt to know that there was young woman making guitars in Belgium.
At that time, I was working as classical Guitar teacher at the conservatory of Luxembourg. I went to visit her workshop in  Mortsel and I just discovered that she was still a student  at ILSA (International Lutherie School Antwerp) and some years later of Romanillos, however she impressed me not just a prominent talented Luthier but also as a very sensitive and refined human being. Immediately I ordered my first eight string classical guitar to Lara, followed  a few months later, by two more orders of six string  guitars for my students at the Conservatory of Luxembourg.

In 1995,  she made for me a second eight string classical guitar which I played few years with great pleasure and contentment. My first attraction and pull to play Lara’s guitars was the fact that she is a woman.
As a spiritual seeker myself, I was related to TANTRA for many years, so I was incredibly attracted to feel the sound of a guitar made with the sensitive and tender YIN qualities of a woman.
Indeed, I found those feminine  qualities I was looking for many years in a guitar, it's to say:
​tenderness, softness, tone, purity and of course, amazing playability which gave me immense satisfaction.
I fully recommend Lara Seidel’s guitars as exquisite instruments,
which have all the qualities of refinement and professionalism. ​

​“Ik kwam bij Lara terecht voor een aanpassing van mijn concertgitaar
welke ze met zoveel zorg en kunde heeft afgesteld.
Die dag liet ze me kennismaken met haar Torres gitaar.
Ze had mijn muziek gehoord en vond dit instrument helemaal bij me passen.
Gevleid door deze erkenning nam ik de gitaar in de hand en ik was meteen verliefd.
De vrijheid in het spelen door het kleinere instrument,
dat ik rechtstaand - en dansend - kan bespelen.
Nog meer dan dit plezier was het de klank die me raakte. 

Dankbaar mocht ik sinds kort het nieuwe Torres gitaartje in ontvangst nemen
en ik vind het heerlijk nieuwe mogelijkheden te verkennen.
Ik kijk ernaar uit dit prachtinstrument binnenkort mee te nemen op mijn concerten”.

Various qualities are indispensable for building a good-sounding concert guitar.
Technical skill, intuition, knowledge of the different woods to be used etc.
Only when these features are paired with relentless enthusiasm,
no-nonsense research and sensibility, does one get a Seidel guitar.
For the last 40 years  or so I've had the possibility to examine a large amount of concert instruments,
​some of them of great renown.
